Hello lovely everyone!
As you may notice, today I’ve prepared something completely different as usual. This is my own interpretation of Bastille’s mixtape “Other People’s Heartache PT. I.” A while ago, I decided to do something I haven’t done for about 12 years – to paint a picture. I have to admit, It made me a lot of fun, so I wanted more 😉 Because I’m weird, I didn’t want to make some random works but something with a concept. Few paintings as a part of a story (some people would call it “project” but I hate that word. We’re not at work, right?). Why this album? It’s very simple. I was coming back from a concert, sitting 7 hours in a bus, listening everything I have on my mp3 player. half sleeping… When I heard this one, I thought, why not to create one picture to each song in my own slightly sarcastic way 😛 My point of view may be a bit surprising and not obvious but I don’t want to explain directly what I meant. I leave the interpretation to you. Enjoy!
Adagio for Strings (What Is Love?)
“I don’t know why you’re not there. I give you my love but you don’t care, so what is right and what is wrong? Give me a sign. What is love?”
What Would You Do?
“What would you do if your son was at home, crying all alone on the bedroom floor
Cause he’s hungry and the only way to feed him is to sleep with a man for a little bit of money?”
“What would you do? Get up off my feet and stop making up tired excuses”
Requiem for Blue Jeans
“I will love you ’til the end of time… I would wait a million years. Promise you’ll remember that you’re mine. Baby, can you see through the tears? Love you more than those bitches before…”
Of the Night
“You can put some joy up on my face, sunshine in an empty place”
“I’m bulletproof nothing to lose. Fire away, fire away”
Love Don’t Live Here
“Love don’t live here anymore and if you break my heart, then blood gonna spill here”
“Just emptiness and memories of what we had before”
“Walking out into the dark, going out a different path, lead by your beating heart”
